How to Pray
The Sunday Rosary with Scripture

A Scriptural Rosary is a variation of the traditional Catholic Rosary that incorporates passages from the Bible, specifically from the Gospels, into each decade of the prayer. Here’s how it is performed:

Announce the Rosary Mystery: Begin by announcing the mystery for that rosary decade. Rosary Mysteries are events from the lives of Jesus and Mary, such as the Resurrection, the Ascension, Pentecost, etc. There are four sets of Rosary Mysteries: Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous.

Read the Scripture Passage: Instead of only reciting the traditional rosary prayers like the Hail Mary or the Our Father, a relevant passage from the Bible related to the mystery is read aloud or meditated upon. These passages come from the Gospels and help reflect on the mystery’s significance.

Meditate and Reflect: After reading the Scripture passage, take a moment to meditate on its meaning and how it relates to the mystery being contemplated. This is a time for personal reflection and prayerful consideration.

Recite the Traditional Prayers: After meditating on the Scripture passage, recite the traditional rosary prayers associated with the Rosary. This includes the Our Father, ten Hail Marys (one for each bead in the decade), the Glory Be, and often the Fatima Prayer (“O my Jesus…”).

Repeat for Each Decade: Repeat this process for each decade of the Rosary, moving through the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, or Luminous mysteries as desired.

Conclude with Rosary Closing Prayers: After completing all five decades (or fewer, if desired), conclude the Rosary with the Hail, Holy Queen prayer, and any other closing prayers or intentions.

By incorporating Scripture passages into the Rosary, it deepens the spiritual experience by connecting the prayers with the Word of God found in the Bible. It provides a rich opportunity for contemplation and reflection on the life and teachings of Jesus and Mary.

How to Use the Rosary Beads
to Pray the Sunday Rosary

Rosary beads are used primarily in Catholic religious practice as a tool for prayer and meditation. The beads are arranged in a loop, typically with five sets of ten beads (called decades) separated by larger beads, along with a crucifix at the end. The purpose of the rosary beads is to aid in the recitation of prayers, particularly the “Hail Mary” and the “Our Father” prayers.

During the recitation of the rosary, each bead represents a specific prayer or meditation. The smaller beads are used for the repetition of the “Hail Mary” prayer, while the larger beads are used for other prayers such as the “Our Father.” The rosary is often used to meditate on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, with each set of mysteries (Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous) focusing on different aspects of his life.

Overall, the purpose of rosary beads is to facilitate a structured and meditative prayer practice, allowing individuals to engage in contemplation, reflection, and devotion to their faith.

It is necessary to understand Our Lady’s intentions in this situation. She does not give suggestions at the last minute, running the risk of not giving us time to prepare. If we do not prepare, it will be our fault, not hers.

She makes it clear on numerous occasions that we are important to her and that she loves us more than we could ever know now. If this is true, would she not give her children her warnings and advice well in advance?

For any plant to grow to its full potential, it needs elements from the soil.  The availability of these elements to the plant, in this case grass, is governed by the acidity or alkalinity of the soil.  The acidity and alkalinity of the soil is known as pH.  If the pH level is not in the proper range, it needs to be adjusted with amendments (Lime or sulfur) to the soil for the maximum nutrients to be available to the grass.  For centipede grass (the most popular grass for the Pee Dee areas of South Carolina), the pH level must be between 6.0 and 6.5.  The results from the soil sample tell us what the pH level currently is.  If it is below 6.0, the results recommend that Lime and the proper amount per 1,000 sq. ft. be added to the soil to raise the pH level.  If the pH level is above 6.5, the results recommend adding sulfur to the soil to bring the pH down to the proper level.

Mary

I am a mother who wants to embrace all of her children because only in my arms are they safe.

Many do not know me.  Others are taken away from me by the darkness.  Others chase after the false lights of this world.  Yet, I would gather the whole world.  I would call all my children into the blessings of my embrace.

As a loving mother, I come to each person.  I stir in each heart and call to faith.  However, in today’s world, that is not enough.  Too many forces blind people, sometimes carrying whole nations away from my embrace.  My children scatter in every direction, pulled by powers which they do not understand and cannot overcome.

So, I must act in each person’s heart, not just as a mother, but as the Woman Clothed With the Sun.  My actions must become visible and powerful.  They must enter the same world stage as the dark forces.  They must contend openly.  All, even those with no faith, must be able to see and to witness what I do.  My actions will offer a freedom, so each person can choose good.  As their mother, I will be embracing them.  As the Woman Clothed With the Sun, I will be freeing them so they can accept my embrace.

Comment: Mary explains her two-fold action – within each person’s heart and in world events.
